At least their BCS hopes aren’t dearly departed…

Why did Georgia act like they were attending a mother****ing funeral in the 1st half?
I have no idea. I’m totally shocked that after all the hype and trash talk leading up to the game the Dawgs came out so flat. Alabama straight manhandled them in the trenches. If this college football season has taught me anything, its that lineplay on both sides of the ball is more important than ever. While everyone wants to talk spread offense and defensive schemes, the large angry men in the trenches are STILL the most important aspect of dominating football.

Is less tenure actually a positive factor for winning a National Title?
Yes, it truly appears to be the case as 3-6 years seems to be the perfect gestation period for coaches. Take a look at the BCS Title winning coaches since the whole thing started. Only Bobby Bowden had been at his school longer than 10 years. Since college teams seem to run on swagger and momentum, hiring a new energetic coach can be the perfect way to get the most out of your talent. As the recent upset epidemic of the last 2 years has shown: if the kids believe they can win, no matter how large the talent gap, they can win. Hence Nick Saban’s success at Alabama.
