Don’t hate the player…
Hate the game. Mark Teixeira was hit with that verbal venom by the crowds in his hometown of Baltimore yesterday when the Yanks were at Camden Yards for their season opener. These fanatics need to ask themselves if it really makes sense to call a person a prostitute for signing a lucrative deal with most storied franchise in sports history. Would they pass up that opportunity? Mark, take it from a fellow Yellow Jacket… go ‘head switch the style up and if they hate then let ‘em hate and watch the money pile up. Just don’t go 0-4 again anytime soon.

You have to love Jordan. He’s the only athlete that can get away with being grumpy about making it into the Hall of Fame. Every successful shooting guard currently playing in the NBA has some of MJ’s game in them. This guy inspired so many with the style of play and trends. He has the right to say whatever he wants. I just wonder if he’ll be able to get that Bobcats franchise to recover from draft picks like Adam Morrison and Sean May. Seems like it’s getting turned around though, D.J. Augustin is on the verge of making Jordan look really smart. Sidenote: Basketball really needs to think about their criteria for choosing who gets into their Hall of Fame. Before we know it, they’ll be letting in retired gatorade and towel boys.

My boy Yu put me on to his YouTube antics and Punte from withleather.com put me on to his blog on The Dallas Morning News site. Yeah, dude is writing about girls farting… he’s super random and it’s dope! I remember when I first heard my girl fart… now I’m married to her. I’m dedicated.

I personally didn’t watch. Heroes was better anyway. Detroit continues to spiral deeper into depression with the Michigan St. loss. The one positive is that we can FINALLY stop hearing about Tyler Hansbrough aka Mark Madsen 2.0.
Greatest fantasy basketball feat ever?
I’m about to brag (shocker). But peep… I just made the finals in my Yahoo league in a season where I didn’t have Kevin Martin to start the year (now he’s out again).. I’ve lost Kevin Garnett to injury.. Leandro Barbosa recently lost a week or so and I had to drop him.. I lost Josh Howard for the middle of the season.. I’ve lost Andris Biedrins here late.. I’ve lost Thaddeus Young at the end of the season.. Oh yeah, I drafted Tyson Chandler and had to drop him because of injuries all year. Maybe I’m lame for writing this but dude… I’m the Billy Beane of fantasy hoops. The good thing is that all these injuries to “your players” allows you to discover young up and coming talent like Anthony Randolph and Anthony Morrow. With all that said, I think I’m done with fantasy sports… it’s for nerds.
