It’s always hard to say whether the NFL Draft had any surprises because, despite all the mock-ups and commentary, no one really knows what a team is going to do when the day comes. Still, unless you’re a Gator fan (or maybe ESPECIALLY if you’re a Gator fan), you were probably surprised that Tim Tebow was picked in the first round. Here are ten possible reasons that the Denver Broncos decided to take him so early.

#9: Can’t count.
#8: Wanted free copies of the new NCAA Football videogame.
#7: Wanted to triple that “why am I wasting my time watching this” feeling people felt after watching countless videos on the deconstruction of Tebow’s throwing motion.
#6: ESPN told them to.
#5: Got drunk.
#4: Someone said it as a joke during a meeting and everyone laughed including McDaniels but he was just laughing because he didn’t want to look like he didn’t get the joke so he thought they were serious.
#3: Figured there’s a good chance he’s either the Savior or the Antichrist and it couldn’t hurt to have him on their side either way.
#2: Free circumcisions.
#1: Have way too much eyeblack they need to get rid of.
